As a Basketball Victoria-endorsed High Performance Hub and twice-named Inclusive Association of the Year, we are committed to strengthening talent pathways, growing women's participation and creating meaningful opportunities for all.Guided by our strategic vision -"A more connected and harmonious community with greater opportunities for all" -this is a rare and exciting chance to lead the Championship Women's program and help drive its on-court success, culture and long-term player pathway.The roleThe Head Coach will lead all aspects of the Championship Women's program, including:Developing and delivering a high-performance training and game programLeading player recruitment, retention and developmentBuilding a positive, accountable and team-first cultureSelecting, mentoring and managing assistant coaches and support staffStrengthening BBA's women's player pathway by building productive relationships with junior representative coaches,



domestic clubs and key basketball stakeholdersWorking collaboratively with the General Manager, Director of Coaching, Big V staff and broader Broncos communityModelling BBA's values of integrity, inclusion and respect while creating a safe, accountable and high-performance environmentRepresenting Broadmeadows Basketball Association professionally at all timesAbout youWe are looking for a coach who brings strong leadership, communication and basketball knowledge, along with a genuine commitment to developing athletes and people.Ideally, you will have:Demonstrated coaching experience in senior representative basketball, preferably within Big V Championship, NBL1 or equivalentA clear and modern coaching philosophyExperience developing players, building relationships and managing a competitive team environmentStrong organisational, communication and relationship-building skillsThe ability to remain composed, adaptable and decisive in a high-pressure environmentAvailability to meet all preseason, training, game-day and program commitmentsThe ability to meet all required Basketball Victoria, child-safety and association requirements, including a valid Victorian Working with Children CheckThis is a fixed-term contract appointment covering the **** preseason and Big V Championship Women's season.
Remuneration and final terms will be negotiated with the successful applicant, based on experience and the agreed scope of the role.
