This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history.
It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.Purpose of the Role:Site engineer purpose includes inspecting and installing equipment and recent technologies, directing crews or workers on site, conducting research, and reporting on project status.
Site engineers will make sure that everything works smoothly, and engineering designs are being followed.
Inspect infrastructure and conduct research on site in order to solve problems.Qualifications:Relevant Tertiary Qualification – Bachelor's Degree in EngineeringWhite CardExperience:Minimum 3 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar role – preferredExpereince working on TBMsExperience working on large scale construction projects or other suitable projects worksExperience in technical aspects of site projects, including machinery and equipmentExperience in civil and structural technical engineeringExperience in interpreting technical schedules and documentationProcess oriented,



able to analyse complex issuesStrong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levelsSound interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaborativelyAbility to work to deadlines and targets and prioritise tasks under pressureStrong Initiative and proactive natureExceptional written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed time management skillsHigh attention to detailCompetent and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word.Ability to learn and use different software systems such as E7Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Conducting research on siteInspecting equipment and technologiesCommunicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issuesConduct research and studies on siteManage field activities and implement engineering designsDiagnose construction or machinery problemsResolve malfunctions or other crises when they ariseOversee repairs and technical improvementsInstall new systems and technologyInspect and test material and machinery for safetyEnsure proper maintenance of onsite equipmentSupervise and direct onsite crew (e.g. technicians)Draft and submit reportsThe above listed authorities & responsibilities are only a guide and may change as directed by your Manager/Supervisor or as per the requirements of FGJV Management.As an employee you will be eligible to participate in a number of additional employee benefits.
