About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled individual to appoint to a
permanent, full-time Senior Medical Physicist position that is
available with our Health Technology Management Unit.
In this role, the successful applicant will provide physics
support in Diagnostic Imaging and Radionuclide Services to the East
Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) and South Metropolitan Health
Service (SMHS).
Key duties include, but are not limited to;
Coordinates QA services in prescribed areas of Nuclear
Medicine for the Clinical Physics service.
Maintains documentation and prepares reports and statistics
for the abovementioned areas of work.
Responsible for QA testing of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic
imaging equipment.
Ensures, as far as practicable, the provision of a safe
working environment in consultation with staff under their
supervision.

Whilst this position is part of
the East Metropolitan Health Service (RPH) - the scope of this role
also includes the South Metropolitan Health Service (FSH)
The Royal Perth Hospital (RPH)
is Western
Australia's longest-serving hospital and renowned for contributing
to innovation and excellence in medical research and patient care.
It is a 450-bed hospital, with an extensive range of services
including Adult major trauma, complex and elective surgical care,
highly specialised surgical services, tertiary mental health and
specialist medical services
The Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH)
is an
863-bed tertiary and quaternary hospital providing a broad range of
specialised healthcare services.
These include the State
Rehabilitation Service,



a comprehensive cancer centre, dedicated
mental health facilities, maternity, paediatric and neonatal care,
as well as the State Adult Burns Service.
FSH also delivers highly
specialised treatments such as heart and lung transplantation and
hyperbaric medicine.
