About the roleThis is a true 2-in-1 role, combining end-to-end Payroll and HR Administration into one position.
You'll need to comfortably move between processing payroll with precision and managing the people side of the business — from onboarding through to termination.
A strong, practical knowledge of the Restaurant Industry Award **** and related employment regulations is essential — it underpins almost everything this role touches.
This role is based at the head office in Broadbeach, supporting all 5 (soon 6) venues centrally — you won't be tied to a single site.
You'll work directly with Head Chefs, Venue Managers, and the Group Operations Team.
Key responsibilitiesEnd-to-end payroll processing across venues, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, the Restaurant Industry Award ****, and reporting requirementsManaging staff payroll queries and resolving them promptlyManaging the full employee lifecycle — onboarding, contracts, terminations, exit surveys, and recruitment support for critical rolesProviding analytical payroll reporting for the Operations teamMaintaining payroll-related accounts through MYOB,



including journaling and on-chargingPreparing superannuation, Payroll Tax, and PAYG reporting, and assisting with reconciliations and annual reportingMaintaining up-to-date, compliant HR resources — job descriptions, policies, and proceduresManaging employee relations, including disciplinary processes and performance improvementManaging WorkCover premiums and claimsWorking directly with immigration lawyer on visa sponsorship and compliance
About youProven experience in both payroll and HR/employment administration in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentConfidence and experience working independently — you'll be running your own department, so you're comfortable owning outcomes without day-to-day oversightStrong self-management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands across multiple venuesPrior experience with FoundU or a similar payroll platform highly desirableStrong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, the Restaurant Industry Award ****, and HR best practiceExceptional attention to detail and strong communication skillsA proactive, solutions-focused approach — you spot problems before they become issuesSolid IT skills, particularly Excel and payroll/HR systems
