We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team.The RoleWe are seeking a skilled, hands-on Chef to oversee food preparation, menu execution, and kitchen operations at our Logan Central premises.
This is a full-time position offering long-term career opportunity with a growing local business.Key DutiesPlanning, preparing, and cooking food items in accordance with recipes, portion, and quality control standardsOverseeing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation schedules and stock controlEnsuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standardsSupervising and coordinating the work of kitchen staff,



including apprentices and kitchen handsMonitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and liaising with suppliersDeveloping and costing menu items, including seasonal and special menusMaintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environmentManaging kitchen budgets and minimising food wastageSkills and Experience RequiredTrade qualification in commercial cookery (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery) or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum 1-2 years relevant experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchenSound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (Food Safety Supervisor certification highly regarded)Robust organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environmentStrong leadership and communication skills to supervise kitchen staffFlexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as requiredA salary of $79,000 - $85,000 per annum (plus superannuation), commensurate to experience, will be offered to the successful applicant.
