We are currently seeking motivated and safety-focused MPU Operators to join our growing team.
These exciting and challenging roles are based in Kalgoorlie or offered on a FIFO basis, supporting operations across our customers' mine sites.
As an MPU Operator, you will play a critical role in the operation of Mobile Processing Units, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of explosives for blasting activities.
You will be working in a dynamic mining environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are essential.
Our roster offers a balanced lifestyle with 2&2 Friday to Friday (14 days on, 14 days off) or 8&6 Friday to Friday, Monday to Monday, Tuesday to Tuesday, Thursday to Thursday (8 days on, 6 days off) options.
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive industry training, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced operators and entry-level candidates looking to break into the mining sector.

About the Role
Operate and maintain MPU equipment in line with operational procedures
Manufacture and deliver bulk explosives on customer sites
Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
Conduct pre-start checks, routine inspections, and basic maintenance
Work collaboratively with site personnel and customers
Accurately complete documentation and reporting requirements
Contribute to a robust safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements
Dangerous Goods Security Clearance (Unsupervised Access)
Australian Citizenship (mandatory requirement)
HR Class Driver's Licence
Automatic HR Truck License
High Risk Forklift Licence
Dangerous Goods Driver's Licence
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screening
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and compliance at all times
Ability to work in remote environments and on rotating rosters
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience operating MPU or similar plant equipment
Exposure to ANE (Ammonium Nitrate Emulsion) manufacturing plants
Experience handling Class 1 and Class 5 Dangerous Goods
Shotfirer's Licence (highly regarded)
HC/MC Driver's Licence
Previous mining or explosives industry experience
Mechanical aptitude or trade background (desirable)
