About us
Healthcare is Australia's largest and fastest-growing industry, and demand for care across aged care, hospitals and the community is only accelerating.
We're a boutique nursing agency redefining healthcare staffing across Australia through creative technology, compassionate care, and professional excellence. Our mission is simple; ensure every healthcare facility receives the highest quality support while every nurse finds meaningful, flexible work.
We're in an exciting growth phase, rethinking how we support hospitals and aged care providers and build stronger experiences for our incredible nurses and carers. We are a compassionate, close-knit team looking for dedicated Allocations team members to join our boutique nursing agency.
The Role
Most people think a healthcare career starts with years of study. However, every day, hospitals, aged care homes, and community services depend on nurses and carers turning up to the right place at the right time. At Scrubs, the person who makes that happen is ourAllocations Officer, the coordination engine behind the care.
This role could be a genuine front door into the healthcare sector. You'll learn how hospitals, aged care and community care work. The roles, requirements and compliance that keep services running. Every shift you fill means residents receive the care they need, wards have the right support in place, and families can have confidence that their loved ones are cared for.
You don't need experience, just the confidence, right attitude to learn and hunger to build a meaningful purpose-driven career.
What your day looks like?
Match and book: pair available nurses and carers to shift requests based on skills, compliance, location and preferences, working across multiple screens and systems at pace.
Be the calm, trusted voice:you'll be on the phone constantly with nurses,
carers and facility managers, so great phone manners is your superpower.
Build relationships:get to know our nursing workforce so well, you instinctively know who to call first.
Think on your feet:handle sick calls, urgent requests and last-minute changes with calm and speed. Flag recurring shortages so we can plan and recruit ahead of demand.
Support compliance:have an eye for registrations, police checks and immunisation records, ensuring records are up to date and accurate.
Who are we looking for?
You might have just finished school and looking for a regular income. You enjoy working within a team environment and might be in a call centre, hospitality, customer service, medical reception or general admin role, planning to move into a meaningful career.
A natural on the phone:warm, clear, professional, and genuinely good with people.
Tech savvy:comfortable across rostering systems, spreadsheets, messaging apps and multiple screens at once (we'll train you on our systems).
Organised & Agile:you enjoy booking, scheduling and making things run smoothly. you juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball.
High attention to detail:you notice the mismatched number, the expired check, the double booking.
Resilient and ready to learn: you bounce back from a hectic shift and want to be better every day. You like to make an impact.
We understand that everyone has commitments outside of work,
and we value finding an arrangement that works for both you and our clients. As a 24/7 healthcare staffing service, flexibility is essential for this role to ensure we meet our clients' needs.
