All Saints Hospital's Mental Health Act and CPA Coordinator will work as part of the administration team at a specialist service providing mental health treatment to deaf men in Salford.
The role involves 37.5 hours a week, ensuring the department upholds a confidential and efficient service in accordance with the Mental Health Act **** (amended November ****).
Please note that this position is a 12 month contract to cover Maternity Leave.
Responsibilities
Dealing with administrative tasks associated with associate managers appeal, renewal hearings and mental health tribunals, including meeting with detained patients to explain their rights of appeal against detention under the MHA.
Attending associate hospital managers hearings and supporting mental health tribunals.
Managing the administration of Consent to Treatment regulations.
Assisting with administrative tasks associated with Care Quality Commission visits and reports.
Responsible for staff induction and professional development as identified in appraisals.
Co‐ordinating accurate and timely completion and processing of section papers and associated documentation, ensuring relevant information, signatories and permissions are obtained and recorded in accordance with MHA requirements and code of practice.
Ensuring all information and documentation is correctly processed in line with policies and procedures so regulatory and statutory requirements are met.
Maintaining the audit trail to provide or access up‐to‐date and accurate information as required.
Qualifications
4 GCSEs or equivalent (including English).
MHA Administration qualification or equivalent desirable.
Knowledge of the Mental Health Act **** (amended November ****) and associated legislation.
Experience of medical records administration in a mental health setting desirable.
Experience of administration/office systems.
