Protech is looking for
Data Cablers
with fibre and copper experience for data centres to be based in Canberra.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Multiple positions available
Monday - Friday l DAY Shift
$50ph-$55ph + super + penalties + travel
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, terminate, and maintain fibre optic cabling systems
Perform fibre splicing and ribbon splicing
Conduct testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting of cabling and network connections
Carry out fluke testing and provide certification reports where required
Assist with the installation and maintenance of structured cabling infrastructure
Support network connectivity by identifying and resolving technical issues
Deliver a high level of customer service
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
ACMA Open Cabling Registration (essential)
Robust understanding of data cabling standards and industry practices
White Card (essential)
Current Driver's Licence
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Commitment to quality and safety
Ability to work independently and within a team
