Kennedys is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Sydney Liability team.

Working with Partners Chris Finn and Peter Craney, you'll be involved in a broad range of insurance and liability matters for domestic and international insurer clients.

Chris leads Kennedys' Sydney Casualty practice and is recognised for his expertise in complex casualty and insurance litigation. Peter advises across casualty, property, skilled indemnity, marine and aviation, acting for insurers on a wide range of litigated and advisory matters. Together, they lead a well-established practice with a strong reputation in the insurance market.

The role will see you working across casualty, public and product liability, property damage, catastrophic claims, marine, aviation and general insurance litigation matters. You'll have direct client contact, responsibility for running complex matters, and the opportunity to support and mentor junior lawyers within the team.

What we're looking for

- Extensive experience in liability, casualty or insurance litigation
- Strong litigation experience across State and Federal Courts
- The ability to confidently manage matters with an appropriate level of autonomy
- A collaborative approach and interest in supporting the development of junior lawyers
- Strong commercial judgement and relationship-building skills
