About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Mortgage Broker / Business Development Manager to join a growing financial services business and play a key role in expanding its mortgage broking division.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded mortgage professional who enjoys building strong relationships with referral partners, while also delivering tailored lending solutions to clients.
You will have the opportunity to develop and grow an established Referral Partner Program, supported by experienced relationship managers and a collaborative team focused on strengthening adviser relationships and generating quality lending opportunities.

The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for driving business development activities, growing referral relationships and delivering high-quality lending solutions across a diverse client base.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Build and develop strong relationships with Financial Planners and other referral partners to generate new lending opportunities
- Understand clients' financial circumstances, objectives and lending requirements to identify and recommend appropriate loan solutions
- Assess income, credit history, financial structures and lending requirements, including more complex scenarios involving SMSFs and trusts
- Develop long-term relationships with clients and referral partners through responsive, personalised and high-quality service
- Conduct home loan health checks, review existing lending and identify opportunities for repricing and refinancing
- Maintain a strong focus on regulatory compliance and contribute to continually improving business processes and frameworks
- Work closely with a dedicated support team to guide clients through documentation, applications and settlement while maintaining a smooth and compliant workflow

About You

We are looking for a motivated mortgage professional who combines solid lending knowledge,



relationship management capability and a genuine business development mindset.
To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Experience working in the mortgage broking industry, ideally at the broker or BDM level
- Current mortgage broking licensing and relevant industry accreditations and memberships
- A proven ability to build and maintain relationships with referral partners and clients
- Strong knowledge of residential lending and the ability to assess more complex lending scenarios
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- A results-focused approach with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
