What you'll be doing
Working in a dynamic team dedicated to improving the health and well-being of multicultural communities in the Northern Sydney Local Health District. Your focus will be on partnering with Tibetan consumers to implement the Tibetan Refugee Health Check-Up Program and to develop, implement and evaluate strategies to improve health and well-being of the Tibetan community.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in health, welfare, social science or related fields or working towards.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health services, experiences of refugees and humanitarian entrants and the impact of torture and trauma on individuals, families and communities.
- Demonstrated competencies in computer based applications including the Microsoft suite of products and email and ability to learn the CHOC Electronic Medical Record system.
High standard of written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and fluency in the Tibetan language.
