## The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in some of Australia’s most complex and strategically key defence and advanced technology programs. You’ll sit at the intersection of global trade, regulatory compliance and mission-critical delivery, ensuring goods and technical data move seamlessly while meeting Australian and international requirements.

Working closely with program teams, customers, government and regulators, you’ll provide trusted advice, solve complex challenges and enable programs to move forward with confidence. It’s a high-impact role where your expertise directly supports the delivery of critical defence capability.

## Key Responsibilities

- Provide trusted, expert advice to stakeholders across the business on EXIM compliance, including the shipment, transfer, and documentation of controlled goods and technical data

- Ensure compliance with Australian and international regulations governing EXIM products and technical data.

- Interpret complex legislation and translate it into clear, practical guidance for internal stakeholders

- Document review of technology and permit application submissions.

- Respond to general enquiries from the program team, including support for bid activities.

- Provide guidance on licenses, Incoterms, and regulatory obligations.

- Help drive global trade‑compliance by improving procedures, bolstering internal safeguards, offering specialized training, and keeping audit readiness at the forefront

## What you'll bring

You will be a motivated team player who is assertive, approachable, and adaptable, with an eagerness to learn, contribute to process improvements, and can work independently or remotely while maintaining high standards of accountability and performance.

Key Skills & Attributes:

- Experience in a similar position managing export/import operations.

- Knowledge of Australian Customs / Border Force processes.

- Experience with logistics, freight forwarding, and customs brokers.

- Legal or compliance background is highly desirable.





- Strong knowledge of EXIM compliance, customs, and licensing requirements
