Cornerstone Medical Recruitment’s specialist Midwifery Recruitment Team is seeking experienced Core and MGP Registered Midwives for upcoming contracts across a range of locations, including Weipa, Thursday Island, Bamaga, Cooktown and surrounding Cape York communities.

What’s on Offer

- Multiple Core & MGP Midwifery opportunities across the Torres & Cape region
- Opportunities in Weipa, Thursday Island, Bamaga, Cooktown and surrounding locations
- $70-$103/hr + super + penalties/ MGP loading
- Travel and accommodation support
- 6-12 week contracts, with potential for ongoing opportunities
- The opportunity to experience remote, rural and First Nations healthcare
- Dedicated consultant and supportive onboarding throughout your contract
- Opportunities across Birth Suite, Antenatal, Postnatal, MGP and community maternity services




- Potential for repeat contracts across the region

Requirements

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum 3 years’ recent midwifery experience
- MGP experience
- Recent birthing experience
- ALS
- FSEP
- CTG competency
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation
- MEP Advanced or equivalent
- CMs are expected to participate in portfolio and audit management as a senior staff member
- Epidural competency highly desirable
- Ability to work confidently in rural, remote and regional settings
