Our client is now seeking a Finance Business Partner to join a close-knit, collaborative finance team. This is a newly refreshed opportunity following and you'll be walking into a role where your contribution will be genuinely valued and where there is real scope to shape how data and insight drive business decisions.
About the Role
Reporting to the Business Analysis and Performance Manager, you'll partner directly with business leaders across performance, marketing and fundraising streams, providing high-quality financial information, analysis and performance advice that supports strong financial stewardship across the business.
This is an individual contributor role within a small, tight-knit team that sits closely with the business it supports; not a "watch from a distance" function, but one where you'll be embedded with stakeholders, understanding their world and translating data into decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted financial partner and advisor to business leaders, providing planning, performance support and advice
- Prepare financial data, insights and reports for senior leaders, including Board-level reporting
- Deliver the consolidated annual budget, quarterly forecasts and monthly performance reporting
- Establish and report on financial performance KPIs via dashboards and scorecards
- Undertake financial analytics, scenario modelling and ad hoc analysis with a high degree of accuracy
- Support business cases, tender/costing submissions and funding acquittals
- Contribute to medium and long-term forecasting
- Build financial stewardship capability across the business, with a strong commercial focus
- Support the development of financial tools, templates and processes
- Work across highly compliance-driven reporting, including regulated fundraising activity, month-end reviews and audit support
About You
- Bachelor qualification in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field
- Minimum 4 years' experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in a business partnering capacity
- CA, CPA or CIMA qualified (or working towards)
- Strong data modelling capability - confident working with Power BI, SQL and large, complex data sets
- Demonstrated experience developing budgets and forecasts within a multi-program organisation; not-for-profit or community services experience highly regarded
- Commercial mindset, with experience in areas such as customer segmentation, advertising or media spend viewed favourably
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels
- A genuine, values-driven approach and a real interest in the sector
