What role will you play?

As a Data Governance Analyst in our Group Data Office, you will help turn enterprise data management requirements into clear and practical guidance for Financial Management, People and Engagement. You will work with divisional teams to understand data risk in our key business processes, support framework-based prioritisation, and help teams interpret what Data Management Standard requirements mean in practice. The role will involve working through ambiguity, asking good questions, documenting guidance, and supporting stakeholders to use Collibra as Macquarie's enterprise governance tool. As we continue to build more scalable and automated ways to manage data, you will also help test, shape and embed new capabilities over time. You will help represent the divisions needs in enterprise discussions and contribute to practical solutions that make data management requirements easier for teams to understand and apply.
What you offer

- Experience in data management, data risk or consulting with a focus on practical implementation within organisations.
- An ability to work with risk framework requirements and translate them into clear and actionable steps for implementation within business teams.
- Solid stakeholder and collaboration skills, with the confidence to engage with a range of teams, listen carefully, build trust, and explain requirements in a clear and approachable way.
- Good written communication skills with experience developing guidance documents, procedures, templates, training materials and other supporting artefacts.
- Comfort working through detail and ambiguity, including breaking down complex requirements, asking thoughtful questions, and helping shape practical solutions.
- Ability to balance governance requirements with business outcomes and practical implementation considerations.
