Industrial Cleaner (Industrial & Machinery Cleaning | Safety-Focused | Hands-On Role) Overview We’re seeking a reliable Industrial Cleaner to join a high-performing team where your work directly supports safe, hygienic, and efficient operations.
This is a hands-on role focused on cleaning floors, machinery, and conveyors using approved tools, chemicals, and mechanical aids. If you take pride in doing a thorough job, following procedures, and working safely in a physically active environment, we’d like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean floors and work areas (mopping, sweeping, squeegeeing)
- Empty bins/trays/buckets as required
- Clean machinery and conveyor systems through wiping, washing, scrubbing, rinsing, and sanitising using approved tools and chemicals
- Use mechanical aids safely and correctly, including:

- Air gun (blow-down from top to bottom, including sides)
- Floor scrubbers and vacuums
- Steam cleaner and vacuum for machine/conveyor cleaning
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use (tools and mechanical aids)
- Apply LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) on machinery and conveyors when required
- Complete iPad-based tasks as needed (before/after photos and recording information)

What You’ll Bring (Required Skills)
- Strong safety awareness and ability to identify hazards
- Ability to perform manual labour tasks in a physically demanding environment
- Confidence following site procedures and completing tasks accurately

- Solid listening skills with the ability to follow directions, procedures, and instructions
- Common sense approach —asks questions if unsure and clarifies expectations before proceeding
- Willing to learn —keen, enthusiastic, and willing to give things a go
- Ability to understand instructions and apply them accurately on the job
- Respect for others —works well with and shows respect to all workers on site

Attention to Detail
- Understands the importance of cleaning from top to bottom to avoid re-contamination
- Can recognise when an area, machine, or conveyor has not been cleaned properly
- Takes ownership of quality by inspecting their own work




- Uses a practical quality mindset— “Would you eat off this?” to confirm cleaning standards are met

Preferred, not essential

- Prior industrial cleaning experience, especially around machinery and conveyor systems
- Familiarity with sanitising processes and structured chemical cleaning procedures

Manual Labour - Conveyor Cleaning - Wipping, Washing, Scrubbing, Rinsing & Sanitising. Using tools & Chemicals

Using Mechanical Aids - Air Gun - Blow all the area down from the top to the bottom including the sides

Using Mechanical Aids - Machine Cleaning Floors - Using Scrubbers & Vacuums

Using Mechanical Aids - Machine & Conveyor Cleaning - Using a steam cleaner, Vacuum

Cleaning Mechanical Aids after use

Cleaning all tools after use

Completing IPAD if required - Before and after pictures recording information on the Ipad

Using LOTO on all machinery & conveyors
