About the role
The Workforce Development Officer Allied Health Research is responsible for leading and coordinating initiatives that strengthen research capacity, capability and culture across Metro North Allied Health. The role provides expert advice, mentoring and project support to allied health professionals to develop, implement and evaluate research, quality improvement and knowledge translation activities that align with organisational priorities and improve healthcare outcomes.
The successful candidate will establish strategic partnerships, develop research training programs, support emerging researchers and facilitate collaboration between clinicians, universities and research organisations. The role also contributes to workforce development, service redesign and evidence-based practice by promoting research participation, evaluating outcomes and supporting the translation of research evidence into clinical practice.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Lead and implement initiatives that build allied health research capability, capacity and culture across Metro North Health.
- Provide expert consultation, mentoring and project facilitation to support research, knowledge translation, implementation science and quality improvement activities.
- Develop and coordinate research education,
training and professional development programs for clinicians and emerging researchers.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, research institutes and healthcare stakeholders to expand research opportunities and collaboration.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on allied health research activity, outputs and impact, while supporting publications, conference presentations and funding applications.
