Role Overview - Project ManagerOur client is a prominent Australian financial services organisation in the lending space. We are seeking a hands-on, self-sufficient Senior Project Manager to own a double-hatted portfolio across high-growth commercial initiatives and regulatory compliance streams.

Operating in a lean, fast-paced environment, you will drive core backbook data migrations, white-label channel launches, CRM/origination integrations, and M&A; streams, while maintaining delivery oversight of a regulatory compliance program. This is an execution-focused role for a "builder" who authors their own project artifacts and manages complex vendor ecosystems without administrative support layers.

Key Responsibilities

- Commercial & Data Integration: Lead delivery for legacy backbook data migrations, white-label partner origination pathways, M&A; integrations, and core platform/CRM system connections.
- Regulatory Delivery: Own end-to-end compliance for Consumer Data Sharing, Product Reference Data (PRD), consent flows, and privacy controls against Treasury, ACCC, OAIC, and Data Standards Body (DSB) timelines.
- Vendor & Ecosystem Alignment: Act as the primary delivery interface across external core banking vendors, white-label partners, and internal engineering squads to track cross-platform dependencies.
- Hands-On Governance & Change: Author and maintain RAID logs, cutover run-sheets,



and status packs directly; step into detailed business analysis, process mapping, and operational readiness as needed.
- Stakeholder Management: Influence cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, Risk, Operations, and Distribution using a collaborative, unaggressive posture to align competing priorities.

Key Requirements
- Financial Services Experience: 8-10+ years of project management delivery within residential lending, mortgages, or broader financial services.
- Data Migration & Integration Literacy: Strong practical understanding of data migration risks, backbook transitions, data lineage, and API architectures (understands data pitfalls without needing to be a data scientist).
- Lean PMO Self-Sufficiency: Proven track record of operating independently in lean environments, taking complete ownership of delivery roadmaps without delegating to support teams.
- Vendor Operations Mastery: Demonstrated success selecting, negotiating with, and driving accountability across third-party software suppliers and integration partners.
- High-EQ Leadership: Exceptional relationship-building skills capable of navigating matrix organisations, managing difficult stakeholders, and negotiating project trade-offs calmly.
- Qualifications: Tertiary degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or Finance. PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile/Secure certifications highly regarded
