CSL is seeking a talented Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Coordinator to provide technical leadership and coordination of electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities across our Melbourne site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and compliant operation of critical infrastructure supporting the manufacture of life-saving therapies.

Working closely with Engineering, Quality, R&D; and external service partners, you'll drive maintenance excellence, asset reliability and continuous improvement initiatives while contributing to CSL's high standards of operational performance and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the IFM Lead, this role offers the opportunity to work in a highly regulated and technically sophisticated environment where your expertise will directly support business-critical operations.

About the Role

As the Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating maintenance programs, supporting electrical infrastructure and instrumentation systems, managing calibration service providers, and ensuring accurate asset management within SAP.

You'll lead and support a range of activities including electrical shutdowns, black start testing, RCD testing, asset reliability initiatives, statutory compliance programs and calibration management, helping to ensure our facilities continue to operate safely and efficiently.

This is a permanent, hybrid position based at our Elizabeth Street, CBD office.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Coordinate electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities to maximise asset reliability, compliance and operational performance.

Support maintenance planning,



scheduling and work management activities through SAP.

Provide technical expertise for fault finding, investigations and reliability improvement projects.

Lead the coordination of electrical shutdowns, black start testing, RCD testing and statutory compliance programs.

Support the ongoing reliability of critical electrical infrastructure, emergency power systems and associated utilities.

Manage outsourced calibration providers and review calibration documentation for technical accuracy and GMP compliance.

Participate in investigations related to calibration deviations, out-of-tolerance events and quality incidents.

Maintain the integrity of electrical and instrumentation asset master data, maintenance plans and asset hierarchies within SAP.

Support GMP, EHS and regulatory compliance activities, including deviations, CAPAs, change controls, audits and inspections.

Develop and maintain technical procedures, standards and maintenance documentation.

Champion safe work practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers while providing trusted technical guidance.

What You'll Bring

Essential

Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a related engineering discipline.

Experience in electrical maintenance, utilities, facilities engineering or industrial infrastructure environments.

5+ years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation engineering

Robust understanding of electrical systems, maintenance strategies and statutory compliance requirements.

Strong fault finding and Quality investigations experience

Experience coordinating contractors and service providers.

Experience using SAP PM or a similar Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Knowledge of emergency power systems, generators, UPS systems, electrical shutdowns and black start testing.

Experience managing instrumentation and calibration programs.

Ability to review calibration certificates and technical documentation.

Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Desirable

Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing or other highly regulated industries.

Knowledge of GxP requirements, quality systems and regulatory compliance frameworks.

Working Environment

Based at CSL's Melbourne site, with occasional interaction and collaboration across Broadmeadows and Tullamarine locations.

Flexibility is required to support shutdown activities, black start testing and occasional after-hours or weekend work.
