About the role
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work as an Aboriginal Health Worker within a multidisciplinary Drug & Alcohol team, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, young people and their families across Western NSW. you will deliver services through a combination of virtual care and outreach to communities across Western NSW,
As a key member of the team, you will provide flexible, culturally safe primary health care services that respond to the holistic health and wellbeing needs of individuals and communities, improving access to care and health outcomes.
As an Aboriginal Health Worker, you will support people seeking assistance with alcohol and other drug use in a therapeutic and non-judgemental environment, while also working collaboratively with community members, general practitioners, health professionals and partner agencies.
This role is supported by a skilled and cooperative team delivering a range of Drug & Alcohol programs, while supporting clients through care planning, advocacy, health education and care coordination. This role offers family-friendly hours, ongoing professional support and the opportunity to have a positive impact on individuals, families and communities throughout the region.
