We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Associate- Personal Injury Casualty to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will provide high-quality legal advice and representation across a broad range of public liability matters, with a particular focus on personal injury. Responsibilities include providing coverage advice to insurers, managing and defending proceedings, drafting legal documents, mentoring junior lawyers, and supporting business development initiatives.

The team is highly collaborative and values a flexible and positive working culture.
Responsibilities

- Day-to-day conduct of a range of complex litigated and unlitigated files.
- Responsible for preparing coverage and associated advice to insurers (including local and London Underwriters) and compliance with insurer KPIs.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, interlocutory documents, and settlement agreements.
- Appearing in court, settlement conferences, mediations and instructing counsel.
- Communicating with external stakeholders such as other parties, Insured clients, counsel and experts.
- Reviewing and preparing evidence and submissions.
- Assisting with and driving business development opportunities.
- Mentoring and assisting with the training of more junior team members.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Following all the Firm’s policies and procedures.
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.

What will help you succeed in this role?
