Want your chance to make a mark on a world-class, record-breaking event? We are hiring for a Design Manager to Signage and Wayfinding to join our Precinct Team to deliver the Australian Open 2027. This is a full-time fixed-term contract from September 2026 to February 2027.

About the role

The Design Manager to Signage and Wayfinding is responsible for leading the design function supporting the Australian Open signage and wayfinding program.

Leading a team of designers, the role oversees the planning, coordination and delivery of signage design from concept through to production-ready artwork, ensuring all outputs are delivered on time, meet brand standards and effectively support operational requirements. Working in partnership with the Event Operations Lead to Signage and Wayfinding, the Design Manager translates operational requirements into clear,



consistent and accessible visual communication that enhances the patron experience across the precinct.

The role provides leadership to the design team, manages design workflow and priorities, and acts as the key decision-maker for design quality, ensuring signage is fit for purpose, production-ready and delivered to a consistently high standard.

In this role you will:

Lead, coach and develop a team of designers delivering signage and wayfinding assets.

Work in partnership with the Event Operations Lead to align design delivery with operational priorities.

Interpret site plans, event maps and venue drawings to inform accurate and effective signage placement.

Manage the end-to-end design workflow for signage projects.

Participate in internal and external post-event reviews of signage and wayfinding outcomes

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a design team.

Ability to read and interpret site plans, floor plans and technical drawings to accurately inform signage placement.

Strong people leadership, coaching and performance development skills.

Experience managing design workflow across multiple concurrent projects.





Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)

Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
