Role Description
Engineering & Technical Services Manager required to lead a large, multi-disciplinary technical function within a complex Defence and aerospace environment.
The role is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across engineering and technical services, ensuring customer requirements, contractual obligations, safety, quality and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing engineering and technical services team.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across a complex technical environment.
- Build strong relationships with customers, senior stakeholders and operational teams.
- Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, scheduling and performance reporting.
- Develop capability, succession planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively across engineering, maintenance, supply chain, operations and training functions.
- Lead critical engineering and airworthiness activities while maintaining safety, quality and compliance.
- Manage risks, issues and opportunities and provide effective governance and reporting.
- Drive improvements across engineering systems, processes and overall business performance.

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience:
- Proven experience leading large, multi-disciplinary technical or engineering teams.
- Strong experience in engineering, technical services or operations leadership.
- Experience delivering outcomes in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Defence, aerospace, aviation or highly regulated industry experience highly regarded.
Maintenance Qualification / Licence:
- Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- Relevant engineering or technical qualifications and experience.
Work Rights:
- Australian Citizen – mandatory.
Security Clearance:
- Hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance.
