ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, as an Electrician you will ensure safe electrical and instrumentation installation, repairs and maintenance of fixed plant, non-process infrastructure, borefields and on-lake infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the process plant and non-process infrastructure to ensure all electrical equipment operates to maximum efficiency
- Conduct diagnostics and fault finding on fixed plant and infrastructure equipment as required to effect repair and maintain asset availability
- Ensure compliance with statutory and industry standards and practices where applicable for electrical installations and works on site
- Minimise lost production time due to unplanned stoppages through effective execution of planned maintenance of equipment
- Maintain accurate records of completed electrical work. This includes completion of work orders, logbooks, test sheets and cataloguing
- Maintain a high standard of workshop housekeeping, workspace organisation and waste minimisation
- Maintain high standards of reporting of electrical faults, non-compliance, and damage of equipment
- Ensure the appropriate documentation of electrical faults, non-compliance, and damage of equipment
- Maintain statutory electrical inspections and records, as required by the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulation 2022
ABOUT YOU
We are seeking a self-motivated operator with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence. You will enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a team environment, and take pride in maintaining high standards.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience post trade qualification
- Completion of A Grade Electrical Licence
- Completion of Certificate III Instrumentation
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Construction White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and Elevated Work Platform (EWP) certification
- Forklift (LF) licence
- High Voltage (HV) switching certification
- Experience working in mining and remote environments
- Experience working with programable logical control systems, direct online motors, and variable speed drives
- Experience working with instruments used for level control systems, flow control systems and conveyor control systems
