People & Culture Coordinator

Full-time permanent position | Brisbane-based role | Supporting employees and managers across Australia | Reporting to the People & Culture Manager | $70,000-$85,000 plus superannuation

Looking for a People & Culture role where you can build broad experience, bring new ideas and genuinely contribute to how employees are supported?

Working alongside our People & Culture Manager, you’ll be involved across recruitment, onboarding, employee records, compliance, training coordination, performance reviews and engagement initiatives for our national workforce. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving construction environment where priorities can shift and solid follow-up matters.

This is a newly created role with plenty of room to take initiative and make it your own. You’ll help strengthen our day-to-day People & Culture processes while finding better ways to support candidates, employees and managers across the business.

What You Will Do

- Support recruitment administration, including job posting support, applicant tracking, candidate communication, interview coordination, and recruitment documentation.
- Assist with onboarding administration, including preparing documentation, uniforms, coordinating onboarding steps, and tracking completion of required forms and checks.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and related databases with a high level of confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Support compliance administration, including policy acknowledgements, licences, certifications, training records, and other employment-related documentation.




- Assist with training coordination by scheduling sessions, tracking attendance, maintaining training records, and following up on outstanding requirements.
- Support development and roll-out of employee engagement, rewards, recognition, and internal people initiatives as directed.

Plan and coordinate company events, employee engagement activities and other business initiatives.

- Prepare HR correspondence, templates, reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative documents.
- Respond to routine HR process queries or escalate matters to the appropriate internal contact.
- Support performance review administration, including scheduling, document preparation, and records management.
- Assist with workforce planning and recruitment administration for technical, engineering, construction, trade, and support roles when required.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to follow up outstanding HR actions, documentation, and approvals.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling employee, candidate, and business information.
- Support other HR and administrative duties as required by the People team.

About You

You’re a people person who also loves a good checklist. You notice the details, show initiative, follow things through and know that great People & Culture support is often about getting the small things right before they become big things.

You’ll bring:

- 1–2+ years’ experience in recruitment, HR or People & Culture
- Real, hands-on recruitment experience — advertising roles, screening candidates,



coordinating interviews and keeping people informed
- Experience supporting employees beyond their first day, including onboarding, check-ins, reviews and general HR matters
- A practical understanding of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, modern awards and enterprise agreements
- Confidence working within the realities of a construction, engineering or trade-based workforce
- Strong communication, sound judgement and a natural ability to keep things organised
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 and HR systems - Employment Hero experience is a bonus!
- A qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field
