We're working with a well-established organisation looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day facilities, building operations and maintenance across a diverse property portfolio.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being responsible for the detail while also building strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, tenants and internal stakeholders.
The Role
Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of facilities and property operations, ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, well maintained and operating efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day facilities and building operations
- Managing planned and reactive maintenance
- Coordinating contractors, trades and service providers
- Managing contractor performance and service delivery
- Conducting regular site inspections and identifying maintenance requirements
- Managing preventative maintenance programs
- Monitoring budgets, expenditure and purchase orders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety and building requirements
- Coordinating essential services, inspections and statutory compliance
- Responding to facilities and maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Building robust relationships with key stakeholders,
contractors and suppliers
- Maintaining accurate facilities, maintenance and compliance records
- Identifying opportunities to improve building performance and operational efficiency
About You
You'll ideally have previous experience in Facilities Management, Property Management, Building Management or Facilities Operations, with a strong understanding of building maintenance and contractor management.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in a Facilities Manager or similar role
- Has solid knowledge of building maintenance and facilities operations
- Is confident managing contractors and external suppliers
- Understands compliance, OH&S; and essential services requirements
- Has strong organisational and time-management skills
- Can manage multiple priorities across different sites
- Is confident communicating with a range of stakeholders
- Takes ownership and follows issues through to resolution
- Has a practical, solutions-focused approach
