A leading Band 1 Corporate M&A; practice is continuing to grow, and we are currently recruiting across 16 positions in Sydney and Melbourne.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre Corporate M&A; lawyer looking to join a market-leading team advising on some of Australia's largest and most complex transactions.

The team is particularly interested in lawyers from around 3 years PQE through to SA3–4.

Importantly, while the practice has traditionally been selective about firm background, it is taking a more open-minded approach for these hires. Strong lawyers from leading mid-tier, national and international practices are encouraged to apply.

Sydney – 12 positions
Melbourne – 4 positions (x2 Associates, x2 Senior Associates)

The team is hiring at both Associate and Senior Associate level, with the seniority range extending through to SA3–4.

The Team:

This is a highly regarded Corporate M&A; practice with a market-leading reputation and a strong track record advising major Australian and international corporates, private equity sponsors and other significant market participants.

The practice works across a broad range of sophisticated transactions, including:

- Public M&A;, including takeovers and schemes
- Private M&A;, including acquisitions and disposals
- Private equity
- Equity capital markets
- Corporate advisory and governance
- Due diligence
- General corporate and commercial matters

The team is involved in some of the most significant transactions in the Australian market and works closely with specialists across areas including Banking & Finance, Tax and Funds.

You will have the opportunity to work across a varied transaction mix and develop your experience across multiple sectors, including energy,



infrastructure, financial services, technology, mining, healthcare and retail.
About you The team is looking for lawyers who have:

- Approximately 3 years PQE through to SA3–4 experience in Corporate M&A;
- Experience working on quality M&A; and corporate transactions
- A strong and demonstrable deal sheet
- Excellent academic results (essential)
- Strong technical and commercial skills
- The ability to manage components of smaller matters and larger transactions
- Experience working collaboratively within a high-performing team
- A genuine interest in continuing to develop as a Corporate M&A; lawyer

Firm background will be considered more flexibly for these hires (within reason), so lawyers from strong mid-tier, national and international practices are encouraged to enquire.
