About the role

Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? We are currently seeking reliable, motivated and a physically fit Shed Hands to join our layer farm in West Wyalong, NSW.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced farming environment.

As a Shed Hand, you will be responsible for:

- Monitoring feed, water and ventilation systems daily
- Checking egg numbers, egg belts and production performance
- Conducting routine farm maintenance and repairs
- Cleaning sheds
- Troubleshooting and fixing feed carts and equipment
- Maintaining strong communication across the farm team
- Adhering to WH&S; policies and company procedures

Role Details

- Casual ongoing opportunity (approximately 38 hours per week)
- Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm
- Occasional weekend work available.
- Pastoral award casual rates (from $32.18), plus applicable penalty rates.

About you

dependable and enjoys taking initiative. You’ll be a strong communicator who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit farm team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, has a strong attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining high standards across farm operations.

Requirements

- Previous farming or outdoor work experience is desirable but not essential
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, lifting and manual handling
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable transport
- A pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening is required before you begin.
- A current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable car.
