Lead quality, compliance, risk and continuous improvement in a community-controlled health service

Bega Garnbirringu Health Services is seeking an experienced and values-driven Quality & Compliance Manager to provide strategic leadership across organisational quality systems, accreditation, compliance, risk management and Aboriginal data governance.

This is an important leadership role supporting Bega's commitment to delivering sustainable, culturally appropriate and holistic health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you will work closely with the Executive Team, senior managers and Board to strengthen organisational governance, accountability and performance.

You will lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of quality, risk and compliance systems, including Logiqc, while supporting organisational readiness for relevant accreditation, regulatory and contractual requirements.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- Leading organisational quality, compliance and risk management systems.

- Supporting compliance with NSQHS, RACGP, ISO 9001 and AQF/RTO requirements.

- Coordinating internal audits and supporting external accreditation and regulatory audits.

- Maintaining the organisational policy register and supporting effective policy governance.

- Maintaining and monitoring the organisational Risk Register through Logiqc.

- Preparing quality, compliance, risk, audit and accreditation reports for the Executive Team and Board.

- Developing dashboards and analysis to support informed decision-making.

- Leading continuous quality improvement activities using CQI and PDSA methodologies.

- Delivering training and support to managers and staff in quality systems, accreditation, policy governance and compliance.

- Supporting culturally appropriate information and data governance, including Aboriginal Data Sovereignty principles.

- Building effective relationships with accreditation bodies, auditors,



regulators, funding bodies and partner organisations.

- Working collaboratively across clinical, operational, HR, RTO and executive teams.

About you

We are looking for someone who brings demonstrated experience in quality, compliance, governance or risk management, ideally within health, community services or an Aboriginal Community Controlled setting.

You will have:

- Demonstrated experience in quality, compliance, governance or risk management.

- Experience using Logiqc or a similar quality/compliance management system.

- Strong policy, procedure, reporting and document-control skills.

- The ability to translate legislation, standards and compliance requirements into practical tools and processes.

- Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.

- A demonstrated commitment to culturally safe practice and experience working with Aboriginal communities, organisations or stakeholders.

- The ability to support teams through training, change and continuous improvement.

Desirable

Experience or knowledge in:

- NSQHS Standards

- RACGP Standards

- ISO 9001

- AQF and RTO compliance

- Accreditation and audit processes

- Quality management systems such as Logiqc

- Aboriginal Data Sovereignty principles.

Mandatory requirements

- Current WA C Class Driver's Licence

- Current National Police Clearance

- Current Working With Children Check.
