Your role
We are seeking applications from Senior Occupational Therapist to join our SJG Murdoch team on a permanent full-time basis. As an Occupational Therapist – Grade 2, depending on your experience, you'll join a collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality, client-centred occupational therapy services that empower people to achieve their goals and maintain independence.
This senior role offers the opportunity to apply your specialist clinical expertise, work independently, and influence best practice across the service. You'll also play a key role in mentoring and developing junior clinicians, supervising students, and contributing to education, quality improvement, and research initiatives that shape the future of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services to client/patient groups and circumstances of a complex nature requiring advanced Occupational Therapy practice skills.
- Be responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties. This requires liaison with the administration team, reporting of statistical data and completion of clinical documentation.
- Monitor Patient/client plans and outcomes regularly through attendance at, and participation in clinical team meetings as required.
- Initiate referrals to external agencies in a timely manner.
- Uses an evidence-based,
problem-solving approach to clinical care and service development.
- Demonstrate consolidated, current knowledge of research, evidence-based practice in Occupational Therapy and related clinical areas.
- Acts as a clinical consultant for the discipline and within the specialty.
You will have demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Occupational Therapy practice. With demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills you will also have the ability to communicate using technology.
To succeed you will hold a Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Having previously worked in an Acute Hospital care setting you will have demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team. A Current C Class Drivers Licence is essential to the role.
Those with a relevant post entry Master's Degree and eligible for Medicare Provider number will be highly regarded though not mandatory for the role.

- Salary: $130,914 to $139,591, plus 12% superannuation
