About the role:
Western Health is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Grade 2 Education Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Education Team. This is an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact on the development of our pharmacy workforce by delivering high-quality education, training and professional development for pharmacy staff across all career stages.
As part of a dedicated and innovative Pharmacy Education Team, you will play a key role in supporting the orientation, clinical development, and ongoing learning of our workforce while helping to shape contemporary education and training programs. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of pharmacy education, drive workforce capability, and influence the future of learning across one of Victoria's largest and fastest growing healthcare providers.
This role offers the opportunity to support and inspire the professional growth of our pharmacy workforce, while contributing to a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence across the pharmacy service.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive and support the orientation and training of new pharmacy staff.
- Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship and support to pharmacy staff and students.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate education and training programs that enhance clinical practice, support professional development and build capability across the pharmacy service.
- Play a key role in developing workforce capability through the AdPhA ClinCAT program, clinical education, and quality improvement initiatives.
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in the education, training, supervision and mentorship of pharmacy staff and students.
- Sound knowledge of hospital clinical pharmacy practice and foundational therapeutics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and interprofessional skills, with the ability to build effective collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement, and professional development.
