About the role

Are you an experienced Merchandise Assistant with a genuine passion for retail and fashion?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a energetic buying team and build your career within the retail industry. Working closely with the Buyers, you will provide essential administrative and operational support across market preparation, purchase orders, samples, travel and key buying meetings.
For the right person, this role offers valuable exposure to the full buying process and a clear pathway to develop within the Buying function.

Key responsibilities

- Assist Buyers in preparing for Monday Market, including printing reports, compiling vendor information and coordinating samples.
- Coordinate and communicate the Buyers’ weekly schedules and itineraries.
- Support the order-writing process and accurately manage purchase order amendments.
- Maintain effective control of all samples, ensuring they are tracked, organised and available when required.
- Support Buyers during Market and act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external vendors.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for the Buying and Intake teams.
- Assist with preparation for range sign-offs, strategy sessions and other key meetings.
- Create and collate strategy packs, mood boards, samples and presentations.
- Provide broader administrative support to ensure the Buying team operates efficiently.

Skills and experience To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- A university or college qualification.
- A minimum of two years’ experience within a fast-paced administration or coordination role.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with reports and data.
- A genuine interest in retail and fashion, ideally supported by previous retail experience.
- A clear desire to develop a long-term career within Buying.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing and changing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, adaptable and team-oriented approach.
