About the role
We are seeking an experienced Audit and Assurance Officer to join the Business Performance and Compliance Team at Lifestyle Solutions.
In this pivotal role, you will support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of internal audit, quality assurance, and compliance frameworks across our Child and Family Services nationally.
Working closely with operational and practice leaders, you will conduct audits, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and provide expert guidance to support compliance with Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) legislation, state-based regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, contractual obligations, and organisational policies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional who is passionate about quality outcomes, continuous improvement, and strengthening services for children, young people, and families.
This is a full-time position based in Sydney or Newcastle and requires national travel dependent on operational requirements.
About you
You are an analytical, collaborative professional who brings expertise in quality assurance, auditing, and continuous improvement practices.
You will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Business, Compliance, Quality, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, auditing, compliance, or continuous improvement within human services or OOHC environments.
- Knowledge and understanding of OOHC legislation, child protection frameworks, and state-based regulatory requirements.
- Experience conducting internal audits, file reviews, practice observations,
process reviews, or compliance assessments.
- Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and risks.
- Excellent report writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
