The Logan & Albert Hotel is a beautiful country pub with a 4.6-star Google rating, and we’re looking for an experienced Chef & Cook to join our kitchen team.
You’ll work in a modern, well-equipped kitchen alongside a passionate team that takes pride in serving consistently delicious food. We work hard, support one another and still enjoy a laugh along the way!
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing, cooking and presenting quality pub meals
- Working across the larder, pans and preparation sections
- Setting up your section and making sure it’s ready before service
- Keeping up with orders during busy lunch and dinner services
- Following recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards
- Making sure meals are consistent and leave the kitchen on time
- Checking food quality, freshness and stock levels
- Rotating and storing stock correctly to reduce waste
- Following food safety, hygiene and cleaning requirements
- Keeping your work area clean, tidy and organised
- Helping with deliveries, stocktakes and kitchen preparation when needed
- Communicating clearly with the kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Supporting junior team members and lending a hand where needed
- Helping create a calm, friendly and respectful kitchen environment
What we’re looking for
- At least two years’ experience in a similar kitchen role
- Experience working with larder, pans and food preparation
- The ability to work confidently during busy services
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- A solid work ethic and a calm, reliable approach
- Someone who turns up on time and works well as part of a team.
