About the Role
This is a fulltime position located in Burswood, close to Public Transport, with street parking available.
This is a specialty role requiring strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret the Government funding legislation and guidelines to ensure Aegis is being correctly funded and where variances are discovered that information is correctly interpreted and subsequently remediated via escalation to Facilities and Billing Officers to undertake full recovery of revenue
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for receiving, interpreting, actioning and redirecting Aged Care Portal correspondence from Services Australia, ensuring financial determinations documented in Resident Services Agreements are accurately reconciled.
- Ensure information provided through the Services Australia Aged Care Portal is accurately reflected in the Epicor billing system for resident billing purposes.
- Ensure Aegis Aged Care Group receives all correct funding and resident contributions.
- Always ensuring to be fully competent in the funding / fee classifications relating to Residential Aged Care and ensuring information disclosure determination of Residents as Means Assessed by Services Australia is interpreted and reconciled as soon as it is received from Services Australia.
- Analysis of Monthly Income Statement and Resident Worksheet for 3,200 residents
- Checking correct funding received for every resident is correct across all facilities
- Investigate all anomalies
- Liaise with AOs across the 28 Aegis Facilities and the Government Medicare Payments Team
- Download all Services Australia letters from Proda – Interpret these letters and action as required.
- Downloading and saving letters for each resident - this is not a bulk download, and each individual letter needs to be interpreted and fully checked, actioned and then saved
- During March and September indexation periods, coordinate the issuance of approximately 3,000 plus letters across 28 facilities.
- All other months approximately 1,500 plus letters across all facilities
- Entering Services Australia letters into Epicor
- Responding to Billing Officer queries as a point of reference for all information received from Services Australia via the Aged Care Portal
- Means Tested Care Fee Reconciliations
About you
- Bachelor’s degree, with 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role or industry
- Australian citizen or permanent resident (PR)
- Experience using the Epicor billing system
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to deal with Government Departments together with internal Managers and Facility Administration personnel.
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
