Hays has partnered with a leading commercial construction company renowned for delivering large-scale landmark developments across South East Queensland. With a strong project pipeline and an excellent reputation for developing future construction leaders, they are seeking a motivated Construction Cadet to join the team on a flagship $300 million, 30+-storey luxury high-rise project in Brisbane.
Your new role
Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers and Contract Administrators, you'll gain exposure to all facets of project delivery while contributing to the successful construction of a major high-rise development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with project coordination and site administration
- Supporting project engineers and site management teams
- Maintaining project documentation and reporting
- Assisting with subcontractor coordination and procurement processes
- Monitoring project progress, quality and safety requirements
- Attending site meetings and stakeholder briefings
- Learning all aspects of commercial high-rise construction delivery
What you'll need to succeed
- Currently studying or recently completed a Bachelor of Construction Management, Construction Economics, Property Development, Civil Engineering or similar qualification
- Genuine passion for the construction industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a willingness to learn
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a project team
- Full Australian working rights
