Who we are
At the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), we’re building a world-class Treasury for South Australia – it’s about the people and the impact we create together.
We’re South Australia’s lead agency for economic, digital and financial policy outcomes. Our work touches every corner of the state, from enabling frontline services to driving digital transformation. And we do it all with one purpose: to make life better for the people who call South Australia home.
The Government’s primary financial management system Masterpiece, used by most SA Government agencies excluding SA Health, is over 30 years old and nearing the end of its service life. The Finance Reform Program is leading a major initiative to replace it with Oracle Fusion and implement best practice processes. This transformation will significantly change how finance functions are performed across agencies and affect a wide range of stakeholders, including finance, ICT, and operations teams.
Why This Role Matters
The Training Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the successful adoption of Oracle ERP and new finance processes across government. Through engaging learning experiences, practical resources and stakeholder collaboration, you will help build capability, confidence and readiness for significant organisational change.
What you will do:
- Work with finance leaders, business stakeholders and implementation partners to identify capability needs.
- Translate finance and accounting processes into practical learning experiences and resources.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify training needs and support successful change adoption.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning approaches.
- Build trusted relationships across agencies, implementation partners and program teams.
- Contribute to broader program activities including readiness, testing, transition and post go-live support
Remuneration
ASO7 ($116,089 - $125,490 p.a.) + 12% Superannuation
What you bring
- Experience in finance, accounting or financial systems environments.
- Experience designing and delivering face-to-face and learning programs for diverse audiences.
- Ability to translate complex concepts into practical learning outcomes.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills that engage learners and build capability
- Experience supporting organisational change through training, communication and adoption initiatives.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Strong written communication and documentation skills, with experience creating quality learning resources and business process materials
