We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the role of Head of Students (Years 10-12) to commence in January 2027. This senior Position of Leadership plays a pivotal role in leading student engagement, wellbeing and belonging across the senior years. The successful applicant will lead a team of Heads of Year and work collaboratively with colleagues to create the conditions that enable all students to thrive. The role oversees the Years 10-12 pastoral program, leads the implementation of the College's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and works in partnership with students, staff and families to achieve positive educational and wellbeing outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead student engagement, wellbeing, attendance and behaviour support across Years 10-12 through the College's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).
- Provide leadership and support to Heads of Year in responding to student wellbeing, attendance and behavioural matters.
- Oversee and continually enhance the Years 10-12 Pastoral Care Program.
- Analyse student wellbeing and engagement data to inform interventions and continuous improvement.
- Build robust partnerships with students, families and external agencies to support positive student outcomes.
- Lead key senior school events and initiatives that foster student belonging, growth and success.
- Ensure consistent implementation of the Student Code of Conduct, Child Safety requirements and relevant wellbeing policies.
- Foster a culture of Unity, Support, Growth and Responsibility through leadership practice.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated commitment to the ethos of Catholic education and the mission of the College.
- Proven experience in educational and pastoral leadership, including the ability to lead and develop teams.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary student wellbeing, engagement, restorative and inclusive education practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive partnerships with students, families, staff and external agencies.
- Experience using data to inform student wellbeing, engagement and attendance strategies.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- A proven record as an exemplary teacher.

Position Details:
- Ongoing teaching position with a three-year Position of Leadership appointment.
- Remuneration will be in accordance with the CEMEA 2022 Agreement. A POL4 allowance, including time release and remuneration, will apply to the Position of Leadership as outlined in the Position Description.
- Commencing in January 2027
