About the role
We are seeking a warm, organised and proactive Medical Practice Administrator and Receptionist to join our well-established practice. This is a dual-role position, with your week thoughtfully split between reception days - being the welcoming face of the practice and supporting patients directly - and administrative days - focused, behind-the-scenes work to ensure the smooth running of the clinic. This balanced structure offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to develop a diverse skill set within a supportive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Welcoming patients with professionalism and warmth
- Managing appointments and doctor schedules
- Handling patient enquiries in person and over the phone
- Maintaining a calm and organised front desk
- Managing patient records and practice systems
- Supporting operational workflows and coordination
- Assisting with internal processes and documentation
- Assisting the Practice Manager and the Principal GP in various administrative duties
- Contributing to the overall efficiency of the practice
About you
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A friendly, empathetic and professional manner
- The ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- A team-oriented mindset
- Experience in medical reception or administration is an advantage, but not essential
Benefits

Located in Dural, we are honoured to care for generations of local families and have become a trusted part of the community over the past 30 years. Our clinic offers a welcoming, relaxed environment where both patients and staff feel genuinely supported and valued. We are a team of 8 doctors (typically 5 onsite at any one time) with a culture built on kindness, collaboration and respect, where teamwork is genuinely valued and supported.
Key responsibilities
Reception duties:
· Welcoming patients with professionalism and warmth
· Managing appointments and doctor schedules
· Handling patient enquiries in person and over the phone
· Maintaining a calm and organised front desk
Administrative duties:
· Managing patient records and practice systems
· Supporting operational workflows and coordination
· Assisting with internal processes and documentation
· Assisting the Practice Manager and the Principal GP in various administrative duties
· Contributing to the overall efficiency of the practice
Salary and Benefits (Permanent basis)
· $29 - 34 hr - for someone experienced with previous medical administration roles
Annual earnings (based on 30 hrs per week):
· $34 per hr - $53,040 per year
Total package including superannuation:
· $34 per hr - approx. $59,404 package
Plus:
· 4 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
· Paid personal leave (pro rata)
· Consistent weekday hours with occasional Saturday work (not immediate)
