About the role

Brown Recruitment Services is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our client's team on a full-time basis on a large $100m + Gold Coast commercial tower project. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will work directly with project managers, contractors and site teams to manage day-to-day engineering operations, quality control and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This role is essential to our client's business, as you will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for excellence in construction delivery. Please note this role is due to commence in the latter part of the year, therefore if you are finishing a project, we would love to hear from you to discuss what is next. Key responsibilities

- Monitor and manage all construction activities on site to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes and safety regulations

- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify that work meets required standards and documentation requirements

- Prepare and maintain comprehensive site documentation, including daily reports, ITP's, variation orders, progress records and defect registers

- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve in office issues and optimise workflow efficiency

- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks to ensure all personnel understand safety requirements and project procedures

- Manage site-based testing, measurement and verification of materials and workmanship

- Liaise with project managers and senior engineers to communicate progress updates, identify risks and implement corrective actions





- Maintain accurate records of site meetings, communications and decisions for project accountability

- Support budget management by tracking costs, variations and claims throughout the project lifecycle

What we're looking for

- Either a trade or degree qualification

- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Site Engineer on commercial or residential high-rise construction projects

- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, Australian Standards and relevant legislation

- Proficiency in site management software and Microsoft Office applications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure

- Current driver's licence

- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management capabilities

- A commitment to health, safety and environmental best practices on site
