We’re looking for an experienced Trade Specialist ready to bring their industry knowledge, customer focus and leadership potential to a successful and growing branch.
This newly created role has been introduced due to continued business growth and offers genuine opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career within Tradelink.

Based in Shepparton, VIC, you’ll take ownership of trade counter sales, build strong relationships with local plumbers and builders, and help ensure customers receive efficient, knowledgeable and practical service.

You’ll join a close-knit, long-tenured team where people work confidently within their individual responsibilities while always being willing to pitch in and support one another.

Your responsibilities:

- Manage trade counter sales and provide knowledgeable product advice.
- Build genuine, long-term relationships with local plumbers, builders and trade customers.
- Act as a senior point of support within the branch, providing direction and helping maintain momentum when branch leaders are unavailable.
- Assist retail and trade customers with product selection, orders and enquiries.
- Follow up with suppliers and manage outstanding customer orders.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively within a busy trade environment.
- Support delivery coordination, loading and occasional local deliveries.
- Assist with rolling stocktakes and broader stock management activities.
- Support the showroom when required, including assisting with customer consultations.
- Work collaboratively across the branch to ensure customer needs are met efficiently.

What you’ll need to succeed:

- Industry Knowledge: Experience within plumbing wholesale, trade supplies or building products is highly desirable. Solid internal sales experience from a related industry will also be considered.
- Leadership Potential: Experience as a senior team member or in a management-style role,



with the confidence to provide guidance and direction to others.
- Trade Sales Experience: Confident discussing products, resolving enquiries and helping customers find practical solutions.
- Relationship-Building Skills: A natural ability to establish credibility and build rapport with tradespeople.
- Customer Focus: Friendly, honest and committed to delivering a high standard of service.
- Initiative: Able to work independently, maintain momentum and resolve issues as they arise.
- Team Mindset: Collaborative, adaptable and willing to assist wherever required.
- Long-Term Focus: Motivated to build a lasting career and take advantage of future development and progression opportunities.
- Licences: A current driver’s licence is required, while a forklift licence would be advantageous.
- Eligibility: Australian or New Zealand citizenship or residency is required; temporary visas and sponsorship cannot be considered.
