ARKIE Early Education Five Dock is seeking passionate Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educators to join the Nursery team. These are full-time positions working 4 days per week on 10-hour shifts. The service operates between 7:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Two positions are available: Nursery Room Leader and Assistant Nursery Diploma Educator, both working with children aged 6 weeks to 2 years.
Key responsibilities
- Provide exceptional care, learning and nurturing relationships for children aged 6 weeks to 2 years
- Lead or support the nursery team (Room Leader role)
- Demonstrate understanding of the EYLF, programming, documentation and children's individual learning needs
- Mentor, guide and support educators within the room (Room Leader role)
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, compliance and child protection
- Build genuine relationships with families through excellent communication
- Create a calm, engaging and secure nursery setting
- Support children's learning, development and wellbeing
About you
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (required)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in Early Childhood Education with strong nursery/birth–2 experience (Room Leader); or minimum of 18 months' full-time Early Childhood experience (Assistant Educator)
- Experience working with children from birth to 2 years
- Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Child First Aid
- Current CPR
- Current Child Protection training
- Current GECKO training
- Warm, responsive and nurturing approach to babies and toddlers
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Genuine passion for working with babies and young children
