B&P; Carpentry, a distinguished residential carpentry & construction company, is looking for a Junior Estimator to assist our Senior Estimator with our growing workload. Our projects span across a wide range of residential & commercial construction solutions, ensuring a varied and exciting workload. As part of our team, you'll enjoy a professional, office-based role that plays a crucial part in the success of our projects, from tender to completion.
Key responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering plans, scopes and specifications
- Preparing material take-offs and quantity schedules
- Sourcing and obtaining subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of tender documents
- Maintaining estimating databases and cost records
- Providing precise and accurate project cost estimates
- Assisting with scheduling
- Utilising your computer skills effectively, with the ability to pass your knowledge onto others
About you
- Experience using a JMS, preferably Simpro
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- A strong affinity for numbers and analytics
- Excellent communication skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Demonstrate a continuous thirst for knowledge and self-improvement
