The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Coach/Medic to join Fugro in our established team and operations. Primarily based offshore and reporting to both the Offshore Manager and the QHSSE Manager - Pacific, you will be working on a casual basis on a rotated roster to support Fugro projects/sites within the APAC region. Your duties include:
- Provide medical support to vessel/site personnel for a range of medical scenarios including simple first aid treatments to major trauma and diagnostic emergencies
- Maintain the vessel/site hospital and emergency response equipment
- Coordinate vessel incident investigation and reporting process while undertaking audits and risk assessments
- Deliver site inductions, training and awareness packages
- Conduct workplace hygiene and health inspections to ensure compliance to the Fugro Business Management System and vessel hygiene standards
- Report all hazard observations, incidents and near misses in accordance with Fugro procedures
- Ensure vessel compliance with the relevant Vessel Safety Management System, Statutory requirements and project specific HSE and Emergency Management Plans

About You
Your success in securing this role will require:
- Recognised Paramedical Science OR Registered Nurse Qualification
- Minimum Cert IV Occupational Health and Safety or similar formal HSE Training
- Proven and robust experience working in a HSE or Medic role in an offshore, mining or operational environment
- Current and valid Advanced Life Support Qualification
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
- Formal training in incident investigation and Cert IV in training and assessing (preferred)
