SMP Supervisor Paint & Blast and/or Scaffolding
About the role
Blast & Paint
- Industrial abrasive blasting & painting operations. Protective coating applications and removal of existing coatings to heavy industrial assets, structural steel, and industrial components. Operating airless spray equipment to spec — correct DFT, environmental checks & finishing every time.
Scaffold
- Minor design, erect, dismantle and modify scaffolding in accordance with Australian Standards and site requirements.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the TPEA Manager or Superintendent
- Ensure schedule timelines are adhered
- Ensure quality requirements are met
- Lead and supervise crews across maintenance and project works
- Coordinate labour, equipment and resources to meet daily work plans
- Conduct toolbox talks, pre-starts and safety leadership activities
- Monitor productivity, quality and progress onsite
- Support and mentor crews to build capability and team performance
- Ensure compliance with all TPEA and project KPIs
- Maintain accurate records and work documentation
Requirements
- At least 2 years of proven experience in supervising industrial abrasive blasting and painting and/or Scaffolding.

Mandatory Requirements
- S26 supervisor training
- Construction White Card (or Blue Card)
- Current Australian “C” Class Driver’s Licence
- Australian recognised Trade or Competency Certificate
- High Risk Work Licence (relevant to the position applied)
- Working at Heights Certification
- Confined Space Entry Certification
- Hot Work / Fire Fighting Certification
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Licence
- Gas Test Atmosphere Certification (Optional)
