About The Role
Ngatti House (Fremantle) is a 16 bed, psychosocial rehabilitation facility providing safe accommodation for 17–22 year-olds with complex presentations and seeking mental health recovery, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
As the Mental Health Team Leader you will lead a team of 25-30 staff to deliver great services by using your organisational and practice leadership skills in the coordination and delivery of services. This will include engagement with multiple stakeholders,



meeting individual needs and preferences of residents within program guidelines and requirement whilst maintaining an efficient, safe and positive work setting for staff.
This is a permanent full-time, Monday to Friday role which requires flexibility to attend shift handovers at 7:30am. It is a requirement for this role to be part of the after-hours on-call monthly rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination and management of the daily operations of the programProvide services in accordance with Funding agreements and legative standardsDevelopment and maintenance of positive relationships with all stakeholders, including familiesDevelop and implement individual plans, funding plans and utilise outcome measurement tools relevant to the programCoordinate and oversee rostering and timesheet requirements according to service delivery and demandProvide supervision, support and practice leadership to support staffBuild a positive team environment through the demonstration of good, communication, inter-personal skills and appropriate peer supportModel appropriate conflict resolution, communication and positive behaviour management skills.Plan and facilitate regular and effective team meetings and professional development opportunities
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in relevant mental health,



community services or related field and/or or relevant experienceDemonstrated experience working in a leadership, management and/or supervisory role within human servicesExperience in managing competing priorities and delivering withing agreed timeframes, quality standards and regulatory requirementsPrevious experience working effectively in a dynamic, high volume work environmentExperience working with people with mental illness, families and/or groups from a strength based, trauma informed and culturally appropriate perspectiveStrong coordination, leadership and supervision skillsAbility to think creatively and use initiative, to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamStrong written and computer skills for the creation of reports, correspondence and other documentsEstablished problem solving and conflict management skillsHigh level communication, influencing, liaison and negotiation skillsCurrent First Aid Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Salary: $95,964.59 + superannuation
