About the Role
As a Refurbishment Technician, you'll play an important role in ensuring assistive technology equipment is ready to make a real difference in the lives of our customers. Working within our Technical Services team, you'll refurbish, maintain and repair a wide range of mobility and daily living equipment while helping us deliver a safe, high-quality service.
Key responsibilities:
- Refurbish and prepare returned rental equipment for reuse
- Perform repairs, servicing and preventative maintenance
- Complete safety testing, quality checks and documentation
- Troubleshoot faults and recommend repair solutions
- Support workshop operations and occasional field service activities
- Work collaboratively to deliver excellent customer outcomes
- Assist Orthotic & Prosthetic clinicians and technicians with technical tasks and build skills in this area over time
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Year 10 education or equivalent, including Certificate III or demonstrated equivalent experience
- NDIS Worker Check and SA Working with Children Check
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in the service, maintenance, repair or manufacture of mechanical equipment
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and work to deadlines
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Basic computer skills and experience using digital systems for documentation
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality standards and customer service
Desirable:
- Trade qualification or relevant technical background
- Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing assistive technology, mobility equipment or rehabilitation equipment
- Knowledge of pressure care, specialised seating systems and mobility solutions
- Understanding of disability services and the needs of people with a range of disabilities and health conditions
