About the role
Steel Ridge Roofing PTY LTD is seeking an entry level roofer to join our team in Perth, WA. This is a casual position (with potential for part-time/full time) offering flexibility and the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the roofing industry. As an entry-level roofer, you will work alongside experienced professionals, learning work ethic, practical skills, essential roofing techniques and contributing to the successful completion of residential and commercial roofing projects. This role is perfect for individuals looking to launch their career in the roofing industry with a company that values skill development and professional growth.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting experienced roofers with the installation, repair and maintenance of roofing systems
- Measuring, cutting and fitting colorbond roofing sheets and flashings
- Following safety protocols and best practice guidelines on all job sites
- Carrying and positioning materials and equipment safely at heights
- Cleaning and tidying work areas during and after project completion
- Learning to use hand and power tools appropriately and safely
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors on site
- Contributing to quality control and identifying potential issues early
What we're looking for
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the roofing industry
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights safely and confidently
- A strong work ethic, reliability and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to health and safety on all job sites
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport to Perth job sites
- Preferably some experience or qualification in roofing, carpentry or related building trades (though not essential for entry-level applicants)
- White card certification or willingness to obtain it (preferred)
