Amalgamated Civil & Plant Hire (ACPH) is a privately owned West Australian company established in 2019, providing mining, civil and plant hire services to the mining industry. We are currently seeking an experienced HD Mechanic to join our team on the Onslow Project.

This role suits a self-motivated tradesperson who can work autonomously and is confident maintaining and repairing trucks, LVs, minor plant, and small civil earthmoving equipment.

About the Role

- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs across trucks, light vehicles, minor plant and small civil earthmoving equipment

- Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment in line with schedules and service sheets

- Ordering parts as required to keep equipment operational

- Responding to breakdowns, prioritising and managing time effectively to minimise disruption to site tasks

- Working independently with minimal supervision

- Completing service sheets, sub-forms and work orders via Prestartr, and logging reports and paperwork including JSAs, Take 5s and hazard reports

What We're Looking For





- Minimum 10 years' relevant trade experience

- Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Fitter

- Current A/C ticket, with Cert II in Automotive Air Conditioning (minimum) and hands-on experience

- Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills across trucks, LVs and minor plant

- Computer literate, for service sheets, work orders and reporting

- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise breakdowns against planned work

- Strong working knowledge of JSAs, Take 5s, hazard identification and service documentation

- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload on site

- Casual position to start, with potential for ongoing work based on performance

- Minimum HR licence required

- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol test
